We’re looking for a motivated Data Scientist to join our Technology team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for building AI/ML systems and models and helping advance our data and analytics program at large. You will work closely with our Product and Revenue teams to supercharge our main line of business, create insights, and empower stakeholders with actionable data.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Perform exploratory data analysis and advanced analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and improvements within our underwriting and customer operations.
- Develop, train, test, and deploy machine learning models to automate and optimize the underwriting process.
- Analyze large financial and business datasets to extract meaningful insights and improve model performance.
- Assist our Data Engineering team with designing, building, and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines with open source and managed frameworks and enforcing data quality, lineage, and documentation best practices.
- Collaborate with our Engineering team to integrate models into production systems to enable autonomous, real-time decision making
- Continuously monitor, maintain, and refine models to ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance.
- Research and apply advanced techniques in natural language processing, computer vision, or other relevant areas to enhance our underwriting capabilities.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
What Sets You Apart
- You have extensive experience analyzing, modeling, and deriving patterns and insights from a wide range of data types, including but not limited to, financial, commercial, telephonic, demographic, and behavioral data, in various forms (e.g., raw, structured, scalar, and time series)
- You are able to evaluate and leverage statistical and modeling techniques (e.g., classification, segmentation, log regression) that best fit the problem in front of you
- You are willing to roll up your sleeves and assist with data visualization and reporting if the need arises
- You have a strong understanding of the data science model lifecycle and the associated processes with developing, training, testing, and maintaining models
- You have a good understanding of data and software development technologies
- You prioritize business outcomes and can speak to how various data science initiatives can move the business forward
- You are a strong communicator and collaborator
- You are inherently curious and do not rest until you understand the why’s

Compensation Range: $110K - $130K
