About The Role
We're looking for a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join our team and help build the next generation of cloud-based applications. You'll work at the intersection of design and engineering, crafting elegant user experiences that push the boundaries of what's possible in modern web applications.
Location: Must be able to commute to the Herndon, VA office once a week.
What You'll Do
- Build exceptional user experiences by developing modern, responsive frontend applications, microsites using cutting-edge technologies and frameworks
- Collaborate cross-functionally with UX/UI designers, and other engineers to deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions
- Architect for scale by creating reusable component libraries and frontend frameworks that accelerate development across the organization
- Drive innovation by embracing emerging web standards, championing best practices, and exploring the frontiers of browser capabilities
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Experience: 2+ years of professional web development experience, ideally with cloud-based SaaS products
- Core Technologies:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience building Single Page Applications (Angular preferred)
- Expert-level knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches
- Deep understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
- API Integration: Proven experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
- Cross-browser Expertise: Solid grasp of browser compatibility issues and effective solutions
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional analytical and debugging skills with a solution-oriented mindset
- Agile Mindset: Experience working in agile/scrum environments with continuous delivery practices
- Learning Orientation: Self-motivated learner who stays current with evolving web technologies
Nice to Have
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, AWS DynamoDB)
- Familiarity with modern frontend tooling (Webpack, npm/yarn)
- Knowledge of state management patterns and libraries
- Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
