Job Title: Analyst, Data Operations & Integrity
Position Overview
The Analyst, Data Operations & Integrity will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of data across the organization. This role bridges business functions, engineering, and support teams—helping to maintain strong data governance, resolve data issues, and drive operational excellence in data management. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and communication skills to support data-driven decision-making and uphold high data quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data Operations
- Assist in organizing, cataloging, and maintaining datasets across multiple systems.
- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable engineering tasks (e.g., JIRA tickets).
- Learn the organization’s data landscape to streamline data access, usage, and documentation.
- Guide engineering efforts by providing business context and ensuring alignment with end goals.
- Contribute to data catalog and metadata management initiatives.
2. Data Integrity
- Monitor data pipelines and systems to identify and resolve data inconsistencies or errors.
- Investigate reported data issues using SQL and analytical tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure timely and accurate data corrections.
- Develop validation processes and controls to improve data accuracy and prevent recurring issues.
3. Reporting & Analytics
- Maintain and enhance Tableau Data Sources and Dashboards as needed.
- Support business users with data extraction, transformation, and reporting requests.
- Provide SQL and logic support for data model and view updates.
- Assist functional teams with analytical projects by applying data knowledge and insights.
4. Support & Communication
- Serve as a liaison between functional teams, vendors, engineering, and support to manage data-related requests and prioritization.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders and franchisees regarding data issues and resolutions.
- Document issue-resolution processes and contribute to a knowledge base for recurring issues.
- Provide training and guidance to end users on data tools, reports, and best practices.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify trends in recurring data issues and propose process or system improvements.
- Partner with Data Engineering to optimize data pipelines and reduce support overhead.
- Research new tools and vendors to enhance data operations capabilities.
- Actively participate in team discussions to share insights and promote data-driven innovation.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in a data-driven environment (including internships).
- Strong SQL skills, with experience writing and optimizing complex queries.
- Experience with data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, Athena, and object storage and data lake platforms like AWS S3.
- Familiarity with MicroStrategy and/or Tableau for reporting, dashboarding, and analytics is required.
- Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools.
- Understanding of ETL processes, data integration concepts, and system architecture.
- Familiarity with JSON file formats and version control tools like GitHub.
