Summary

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for a Data Scientist to support the Joint Training Synthetic Environment (JTSE) Joint Staff J7(JS J-7) contract at our Suffolk, VA Joint Staff Complex.

What You Will Do

Explore and manipulate large-scale datasets using creative and effective data science methods.
Analyze complex data to uncover trends, correlations, and outliers; build predictive and prescriptive models.
Develop user-friendly reports and dynamic dashboards to communicate insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with data engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and system integration.
Create dynamic dashboards and visualizations to present insights to non-technical stakeholders in an actionable way.
Document methodologies and code for transparency and reproducibility.
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data science and machine learning.
Present findings through compelling story-telling that drives action and understanding.

What You Must Have

0 years experience with Bachelors in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and a desire to grow.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
