Tableau Developer (Server to Cloud Migration) | Contract | 20 hrs/week | Remote
We’ve got an exciting opportunity for a Tableau Developer to lead a migration from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud for a Salesforce-backed project! This is a 13-week part-time contract (up to 20 hours/week) — ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on delivery work and enjoys tackling high-impact data projects.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Assess and analyze the current Tableau Server setup — workbooks, data sources, permissions, integrations, and schedules.
Build and execute a smooth migration plan to Tableau Cloud.
Optimize dashboards and data models for performance and best practices in the Cloud environment.
Reconfigure data connections, authentication, and refresh schedules.
Implement governance, roles, and content organization post-migration.
Test and validate deliverables with key business stakeholders.
Deliver documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-migration support.
Partner with internal technical teams across Snowflake, Data Engineering, and Security.

What We’re Looking For:

3–5+ years of Tableau development and administration experience.
Proven experience migrating Tableau Server environments to Tableau Cloud.
Expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Cloud publishing, and content management.
Strong SQL skills and a solid grasp of BI data modeling.
Exposure to enterprise data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, SQL Server, Databricks, etc.).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working independently in a fractional, delivery-oriented model.
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and QA habits.

? Pay Rate: $50-$62/hr
