Staff Data Scientist – Product & Experimentation
Join one of the most ambitious teams in AI. We’re building the most advanced conversational AI agents for the enterprise, trusted by Duolingo, Notion, Rippling, Eventbrite, Webflow, and BILT to deliver human-like customer support at scale. Backed by over $200M from a16z, Accel, Bain Capital Ventures and founders of Box, Airtable, Rippling, Okta, Lattice, and Klaviyo, we’re growing fast and looking for a Staff Data Scientist to help shape how data informs every major product and business decision.
This is not a back-office analytics role; it’s a high-impact position where you’ll define how data science powers experimentation, measurement, and model evaluation across a rapidly scaling AI product. You’ll be at the center of decision-making, working directly with Product, Engineering, and executive leadership to drive insights that steer the company’s direction.
What You’ll Do
- Drive experimentation at scale — design, implement, and analyze A/B tests that inform product strategy and shape customer experience.
- Lead data strategy — build scalable metrics, models, and pipelines that underpin how the company measures product health and success.
- Partner cross-functionally — collaborate with Product and Engineering to embed experimentation frameworks directly into development cycles.
- Deep-dive into complex systems — analyze user behavior, product performance, and business outcomes using advanced statistical and ML methods.
- Shape how AI is evaluated — assess and interpret performance of classification, recommendation, and LLM-based systems, helping teams understand trade-offs between accuracy, cost, and user experience.
- Influence at the highest level — translate insights into clear, strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
- Champion a culture of experimentation and rigor — define best practices for measurement and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or experimentation roles at scale (consumer, enterprise, or marketplace environments).
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical modeling/experimental design.
- Proven track record of designing and analyzing large-scale experiments.
- Experience reasoning about and evaluating ML systems, particularly recommendation or LLM-based products.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to influence across technical and executive teams.
- A strategic thinker who can turn ambiguous problems into analytical frameworks that drive measurable business impact.
This is a rare opportunity to build the experimentation and analytics foundation for one of the fastest-growing companies in AI, where your work will directly influence how millions of users experience next-generation conversational agents.
