Position Overview:
- Will be responsible for Development and Testing of Data Integration Workflows (ETL Packages, Stored Procedures, UDF, Ad Hoc-Queries), Test Plans and Test Cases using Microsoft Technologies such as SSIS, SSAS and SQL Server Database, as well as company-wide Document Management.
- On a day to day the individual is expected to work closely with development team and the analyst team.
- This is an opportunity to join an IT team which maintains a broad portfolio of business-critical vendor and custom applications.
Salary: $125000-$150000/Year.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ETL and Data PL/SQL coding and unit testing based on the design provided by the Enterprise Data Lead.
- May have responsibility for development of a part of a larger project or to develop a project more independently.
- Hand off back and forth with offshore developers in a collaborative fashion.
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers and business users to effectively prioritize development activities within resource constraints.
- Provide in-depth technical support for the assigned applications.
- Create relevant and up to date technical documentation of assigned applications.
- Able to learn new technology practices, platforms, and tools and keeps up to date with the latest technology trends.
- Provide appropriate training to users on the use of assigned applications.
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience with:
- Microsoft SSIS, SSAS and Relational Database technologies.
- Exposure to web services (SOAP, XML, etc.)
- SQL Server including T-SQL or PL/SQL.
- Data warehousing- Data Modeling, Data Profiling.
- Experience implementing coding best practices via code reviews and code inspection tools.
- Experience in implementing Code Version Control like GitHub, SourceAnywhere.
- Experience working with Property and Casualty Insurance Data or a company.
- Experience with dimensional modeling and data marts.
