Overview
Thrift Stores of Ohio and Carolina Value Thrift are seeking a Part Time- or Full-Time skilled IT Specialist with Full Stack Development experience to join our dynamic team.
While the primary focus of this role is on IT system maintenance and support, candidates with full stack development experience will have the opportunity to contribute to internal software projects and infrastructure improvements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT systems administration, network and hardware maintenance, and user support—along with proficiency in full stack development for automating processes, building tools, and integrating systems. This role directly supports business operations to ensure smooth daily operations across all facets of the company.
Please Note: This is a fully onsite position based in our Columbus, Ohio office. Remote work is not available for this role. Candidates must be able to report in person daily to our Columbus location.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and monitor multiple systems critical to daily operations across all company environments.
- Assist in supporting hardware and network infrastructure, including store registers, printers, scanners, servers, cameras, switches, and access points via work ticket.
- Assist in resolving help desk tickets, providing timely and effective technical support to staff.
- Perform system maintenance tasks, including software updates, backups, and troubleshooting.
- Assist in supporting IT assets and maintain documentation for hardware, configurations, and procedures.
- Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and implement long-term solutions.
- Communicate with external service providers for hardware repairs, network upgrades, or licensing.
Software Development
- Design, code, test, debug, and document software solutions and utilities that improve business efficiency.
- Assist in the integration of internal systems to streamline operations across the company.
- Promote and document standard business practices in relation to software and system usage.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies or tools to support evolving IT and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in IT, including 2–3 years of development experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of both system administration and software development principles.
- Experience with Windows OS, C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
- Monday-Friday work schedule. On call as needed.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
