Position Overview:
We're seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex electrical systems for high-impact projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative facilities in the life sciences, industrial, commercial, and mission-critical sectors. You'll be responsible for designing power distribution, lighting and controls, emergency power, UPS, and renewable energy systems from concept through construction.
You'll also mentor junior engineers, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure designs meet all applicable codes and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead electrical system design and documentation across all project phases

Interpret construction drawings, technical schematics, and reports

Prepare feasibility studies, technical reports, and code compliance documentation

Attend client and project meetings, collaborating with architects, developers, and owners

Review contractor submittals and conduct site inspections as needed

Guide junior staff on system layouts and design best practices

Ensure compliance with IBC, NEC, IECC, and other relevant codes
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited)

7+ years of experience in electrical design within the consulting engineering industry

Experience with life science, mission-critical, commercial, or institutional projects

Strong understanding of building codes and engineering standards

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical modeling tools (ETAP or SKM preferred)

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills

Experience mentoring junior engineers and reviewing their work
Preferred:
