Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Actuarial Analyst with a solid understanding of actuarial techniques, standards, and assumptions for life and health insurance pricing, modeling and reserving to join our team. The ideal candidate will utilize mathematical and statistical methods to assess risk and uncertainty in financial decisions. This role involves analyzing data, developing forecasts, and providing insights to support our clients.
Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate financial risks and opportunities.
- Develop and modify statistical and actuarial models to forecast future trends.
- Utilize tools such as Tableau and Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Work closely with senior actuaries to establish pricing strategies based on risk assessments.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in actuarial science.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Completion of three or more actuarial exams
- Strong proficiency in quantitative analysis and statistical methods.
- Experience with techniques and tools related to the collection, manipulation and analysis of complex data.
- Knowledge of financial principles and acumen in assessing risk factors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products; expert level in Excel
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and within a team and to foster teamwork in a fast-paced consulting environment.
- Understanding of data privacy standards and compliance requirements in a highly regulated market
