Job Overview
We are seeking a driven Electrical Engineer with an interest in embedded hardware development to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and test circuit boards for our wastewater control and alarm products. We value self-starters who take initiative, quickly learn new technologies, and tackle challenges head-on.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and test embedded hardware systems, including schematics, PCB layouts, and component selection.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers to define hardware/software interfaces and ensure seamless integration.
- Perform hardware debugging and validation, utilizing test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and multimeters.
- Conduct design reviews, analyze power consumption, and optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including specifications, test plans, and assembly instructions.
- Provide post launch product support to our production and technical support staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and testing (e.g., UL, CE, FCC).
- Experience in embedded system hardware development, from concept to production.
- Strong proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, Eagle).
- Experience with board-level communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.).
- Familiarity with microcontrollers/microprocessors (e.g., ARM Cortex-M0, MSP, AVR) and their peripheral interfaces.
- Basic C programming skills for writing product testing and validation code.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles, power management, and signal integrity.
- Experience with hardware debugging and troubleshooting techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
