As a Software Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance or software solutions that support Magnum's dispatching, billing, mobile workflows, shared services departments, and data analytics. The Software Developer plays a key role in automating manual processes, improving system integrations, and enhancing operational efficiency across Magnum.
You will:
- Develop and maintain internal applications and APIs to support logistics operations.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources (TMS, CRM, ERP, etc.).
- Implement ETL processes to clean, transform, and structure data for analysis.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and availability for decision-making.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand data needs and improve reporting capabilities.
- Develop SQL queries and scripts to automate data extraction and transformation.
- Monitor data performance and troubleshooting issues in data pipelines.
- Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
- Integrate third-party platforms with internal systems to streamline dispatch and billing processes.
- Assist in the rollout of paperless dispatching and mobile delivery workflows.
- Build and maintain reporting tools and dashboards for business intelligence and performance tracking.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure software quality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments with a focus on minimizing downtime and improving reliability.

Seeking an individual who has:
- Strong experience with SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation.
- Experience with XML, JSON, REST, SOAP, and/or JMS knowledge.
- Experience with APIs, databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with relation databases, preferably IBM DB2 and MSSQL.
- Familiarity with logistics or transportation systems (preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with ability to translate technical insights into business recommendations.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, C#, etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for automation and continuous improvement.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of two years in data engineering, BI development, or an analytics role, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL industry.
- Minimum of two years of experience in software development.
