Title: Legal Financial Analyst

Location: One Manhattan, NYC

Remote Policy: Hybrid – In office 3 times per week

Compensation: Up to $115K + spot bonuses

Ideal Candidate
A detail-oriented finance professional with a strong background in financial analysis, ideally within a professional services or law firm setting. This individual will excel at translating complex financial data into actionable insights, thrive in a collaborative environment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for leadership.
Leverage Oracle and Aderant systems to extract, reconcile, and analyze data for budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
Monitor key performance indicators and recommend strategies to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Partner with department heads and practice leaders to review performance and support strategic planning.
Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost control and revenue growth.
Assist with annual budgeting and reforecasting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across departments.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
Proficiency with Oracle and Aderant systems (required).
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data modeling.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings to both financial and non-financial audiences.
