Job Title: Business Analyst Level 2
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Role
We are seeking a Business Analyst Level 2 to support DPS projects and priorities. The role will involve facilitating the gathering of themes, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, as well as analyzing existing requirements documentation. This position will directly support project and development teams on various initiatives to improve agency effectiveness, ensure compliance with statutes, and enhance service delivery capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Create themes, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria according to agency standards.
- Convert existing use cases into actionable user stories/epics/acceptance criteria in Jira.
- Analyze existing process documentation and identify opportunities for improved operational efficiency.
- Facilitate project development and QA discussions, including story point estimation for predictive effort modeling.
- Support the development and implementation of various initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3–5 years experience as a Business Analyst in a technical or emerging technology environment.
- 3–5 years experience with Agile project management methodology/practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years experience in use case documentation.
- 1–2 years experience in process documentation and mapping.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with Jira and Agile tools.
- Ability to analyze, document, and recommend process improvements.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $57.70 - $65.00 per hour
