We’re seeking an experienced Data Scientist/Machine Learning Expert with big tech experience to drive our Expert Advisor (EA) development for all major trading platforms, with a strong focus on Python and API integrations. Core Functions
- Code Analysis & Optimization: Analyze and enhance existing code for Expert Advisors to improve performance and reliability on all major trading platforms.
- Machine Learning (ML) Integration: Develop and integrate predictive ML models into EAs, leveraging Python and APIs to advance trading strategies.
- Development & Testing: Build, test, and deploy EA features, ensuring robust performance across diverse market conditions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze codebases to understand functionality and identify optimization opportunities.
- Write, refactor, and test code in Python, and C++ to implement EA enhancements and fixes, with a primary focus on Python-based solutions.
- Develop and integrate machine learning models (e.g., using TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) into EAs.
- Conduct rigorous backtesting and forward testing to validate EA performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with traders to align EA functionality with trading objectives.
- Maintain detailed documentation of code changes, optimizations, and integration processes.
- Monitor real-time EA operations, troubleshoot issues, and deploy updates as needed.
- Review code for security, efficiency, and adherence to algorithmic trading best practices.
- Participate in team meetings to prioritize tasks and provide progress updates.
- Continuously learn and stay updated on all major trading platform updates, MQL advancements, TradingView/PineScript developments, and ML techniques.
- Contribute to a high-energy team culture, supporting shared goals and innovation.
QualificationsMust Haves
- Strong proficiency in Python, with expertise in machine learning model development (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and API integrations.
- Expertise in C++ for low-level optimizations and DLL integrations in all major trading platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Doctorate preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to relocate to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for a full-time position.
- Fluent in English for verbal and written communication.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with machine learning in finance or algorithmic trading (e.g., predictive modeling, LSTMs).
- Familiarity with additional tools/languages (e.g., R, MATLAB, Java) for data analysis.
- Knowledge of financial markets, trading strategies, or forex regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.
- Certifications in machine learning or MetaTrader-specific training.
