The Data Reporting Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to extract meaningful insights that support strategic and operational business decisions. Under moderate supervision, the Data Analyst applies statistical and analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within data sets. The position is also responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights by creating reports, dashboards, and visualizations tailored to various stakeholders. This role contributes to process improvement efforts, supports data-driven decision-making, and communicates findings in a clear and impactful manner that support business continuity.
Responsibilities
Gather data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and other systems, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity.
Develop and maintain automated workflows to streamline data collection and integration processes.
Perform statistical analysis and data modeling to identify trends, patterns, gaps, and anomalies in business operations.
Interpret data and present actionable insights to optimize business outcomes and improve organizational efficiency.
Conduct gap analyses using historical data to understand past performance and identify areas of opportunity.
Design and produce reports, dashboards, and visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or other custom solutions to effectively communicate findings.
Translate complex data into clear, concise formats that are easily understood by non-technical stakeholders.
Use data analysis to identify areas for improvement, streamline processes, and support data-driven decision-making.
Recommend strategic actions based on data insights to optimize business performance.
Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all organizational levels, including leadership as needed.
Education and Work Experience
A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in a logistics and/or healthcare environment.
Experience in Business Continuity is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
Preferred Certifications
CompTIA Data+ Certification.
Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate Certification.
IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate or equivalent.
Skills and Knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work with complex data sets.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and business requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite:
Excel: Advanced experience with Pivot Tables, Power Queries, Nested Functions, and data modeling.
PowerPoint, Access, Word, and Smartsheets.
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
Basic knowledge of database management and querying languages (e.g., SQL) is preferred.
BC in the Cloud (BCIC) preferred.
