About the Role:
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated standard business reports within the Microsoft Fabric platform. You will play a crucial role in automating business reporting, improving efficiency, and driving digital transformation initiatives within the organization. Your expertise in data modeling, data warehouses, pipelines, and related technologies will contribute to streamlining operations, reducing manual efforts, and enhancing productivity. You will work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and data analysts to understand business processes and translate them into efficient and scalable data sets.
Responsibilities:

Configure and Integrate data connections with various systems, applications, and databases to ensure end-to-end “copy exact” system replication

Create reusable, automated, and scalable data collection pipelines

Design, Develop, Deploy, and test new data platforms, Data Hubs, Data Marts within the Global Data Warehouse

Adhere to internal standards for coding, project tracking and documentation.

Integrate data from source systems/data lake into a data warehouse.

Troubleshoot, debug, and tune issues in existing pipeline automation, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements

Document technical specifications, solution designs, and developer guides for data models

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of data warehousing solutions within existing IT infrastructure

Apply data science Time Series Analysis modeling to all required data sets in the data lake, including SARIMA, XGBoost, and Prophet, complete with ADF P value and RMSE analysis.

Apply data science Regression Analysis modeling to prioritized variables in order to determine independent and dependent variable regression testing.

Stay up-to-date with the latest data warehousing trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve and optimize processes

Develop Data Models specific to a few construction industry data groups: Sales, Work Management, Invoices, and Financials such as General Ledger, P&L, and Expenses.

Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in Data Warehousing with Cloud technologies

BS degree educated in computer science or a relevant subject

Good software engineering principles

Basic working experience with Azure DevOps paired with knowledge of Agile and/or Scrum methods of delivery (or equivalent such as Jira)

Some experience connecting to various data sources and structures (like RDBMS, Data Lake, IoT, Blob Storage)

Strong practical experience with T-SQL or any variant from other RDBMS

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills in dealing with internal customers from a range of functional areas

Ability to work with remote & virtual project teams, third parties & consultants

Willingness to work flexible working hours according to project requirements

Technical documentation skills

Fluent in English

Experience with Toast point-of-sale software is a plus
-
Experience in working on Azure Services like Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake is a plus.
