Target Range:
$30.00 /Hr. - $38.00 /Hr.
Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Cash Bonus Target: 10%
Eligible for an Annual Discretionary Restricted Stock Units Bonus Target: 10%
These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.
About This Job
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of projects that enhance our digital banking platform and to digitize and automate internal processes. You will work closely with the team ensuring alignment with our product roadmap and delivery timelines. This role offers an opportunity to learn modern technologies, collaborate with experienced engineers, and play a key part in delivering innovative solutions that improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
This position is on-site and located at our HQ in San Diego, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Translate business requirements into viable and scalable applications
- Design and develop and test web applications using best practices and established coding standards
- Conduct root cause analysis using knowledge of applications, interfaces, and technology for defect resolution
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and consistently interact professionally and productively with other team members
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- 2+ years' experience developing web and/or mobile applications
- 1+ year's experience working with web technologies like ASP .NET, C#, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and RESTful APIs.
- 1+ year's working on Front End framework like react js, angular js.
- 1+ year's experience working on relational database language like SQL/Oracle and writing T-SQL queries
- Knowledge of relational data modelling principles and experience building database objects using E-R modelling tools
- Experience in building apps with responsive web design compatible with various devices
- Experience in exposing and consuming SOAP and RESTful APIs
- Experience working in agile/scrum methodology of project delivery
- Experience using tools like Azure Boards, Jira, confluence
- Experience working on low code platform like OutSystems is preferred
