My client, a leading hedge fund, is seeking an Azure Data Engineer to join their team in New York.
This individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing modern Azure-based data solutions, playing a key role in building scalable data pipelines and governance frameworks that support enterprise-wide analytics and reporting.
This is an opportunity to work across a broad range of Azure technologies, contribute to high-impact data projects, and make an immediate impact within a dynamic and collaborative technology team.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience across Azure Data Services, including Microsoft Fabric, Purview, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, and Azure SQL. Proficiency with Databricks for big data processing and analytics, strong SQL skills, and expertise in programming (Python, PySpark) are essential. A solid understanding of data modeling and governance, including cataloging, lineage, and compliance frameworks, will also be key.
Additional exposure to Power BI integration, Azure DevOps for Data (CI/CD, Git, deployment automation), and AI/ML tools such as OpenAI will be highly advantageous.
