What is the job?
At Regal, data is more than numbers — it’s the storyline behind every blockbuster decision. As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll be the architect behind our data pipelines and platforms, building the foundation that powers analytics, machine learning, and business intelligence across the business. Think of it as designing the backstage systems that keep the big show running seamlessly.
You’ll collaborate with analysts, scientists, and business leaders to ensure Regal’s data is reliable, scalable, and ready for its starring role in shaping the future of entertainment.
What will you be doing?
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, efficient data pipelines and architectures.
- Architect and implement robust data models, data lakes, and warehouses.
- Partner with business units to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure data quality, validation, monitoring, and documentation at every stage.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster best practices across the data team.
- Document data processes to support transparency and reuse.
- Stay current on emerging data technologies and industry trends.
About you
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and major database systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Skilled in data modeling, ETL processes, and warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and cloud-native data tools (Snowflake).
- Hands-on with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Prefect.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner across technical and non-technical teams.
