The Role
As a Full Stack Engineer at Virtue AI, you will take ownership of end-to-end product features — designing backend APIs, building intuitive UIs, and ensuring secure, performant, and enterprise-ready delivery. You’ll work closely with ML engineers and designers to create customer-facing dashboards, evaluation interfaces, and developer tools that make our AI safety technology accessible and actionable.
This is a high-impact role for an engineer who loves working across the stack and delivering polished experiences without sacrificing technical depth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full-stack feature development, from backend APIs to frontend UI.
- Design and build developer-friendly dashboards and evaluation tools for guardrails and red-teaming.
- Collaborate with backend engineers on scalable service APIs and data pipelines.
- Implement modern, performant, and accessible UIs using React (and related libraries).
- Ensure secure, multi-tenant, enterprise-ready delivery across SaaS and on-prem deployments.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and automated quality checks.
- Work closely with product and design to translate customer needs into reliable, intuitive software.
Qualifications
- Strong programming experience in Python (backend) and TypeScript/React (frontend).
- Experience building APIs and services with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Postgres).
- Strong understanding of frontend engineering practices (state management, testing, accessibility).
- Hands-on experience with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Comfort in fast-moving startup environments with a bias toward impact and collaboration.
Bonus:
- Experience with enterprise SaaS delivery (RBAC, multi-tenancy, SSO/OIDC).
- Familiarity with ML or data visualization frameworks (e.g., Recharts, D3, Plotly).
- Exposure to security-sensitive or compliance-heavy environments.
