We are seeking a Software Engineer I to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based in our Waltham, MA office.
Job Summary
The Software Engineer I will join the software development team where they’ll focus on security, multifactor authentication, and server components for healthcare security product set. This role will be responsible for the architecture, design, and development of features for one of our essential product lines. This entry-level role offers the opportunity to apply core programming skills, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and learn best practices in software development.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the design and delivery of technical components on the server side of our client server application services.
Experience developing and debugging software in a multi-threaded environment
Develop full-stack application functionality within a dynamic agile scrum environment.
Create high quality code testable through automation.
Create unit and functional automated tests.
Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues.
Other duties as assigned and required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
1-2 years' experience in a development environment.
Client-server application development experience implementing end-user workflows.
Working knowledge of Java, JSON, RESTful Web APIs, JDBC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and the Linux environment.
Working knowledge of React/Javascript, ReactJS. Relay and GraphQL.
Working knowledge of Java open-source frameworks (e.g., Play, Spring, Hibernate).
Experience with relational database principles.
Proven design skills with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high expectations.
Solid experience with a full software development life cycle and a proven track record in successfully bringing products to market.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers and partners.
Experience working in an agile scrum environment is a plus.
Knowledge of VMWare or Citrix system is plus.
This position offers a total compensation range of $110,800.00 to $117,800.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate’s location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
