Description
Boulder County Assessor's Office is seeking to hire a
Data Analyst I. The Assessors' Office of Boulder County is hiring a Data Analyst to join their team. Under general supervision, collects, evaluates, and prepares research and/ or other complex data analysis for the Assessor's Office. Assists in creating reports and data sets required in the Colorado State Statutes. Prepares data quality analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate. Develops and implements systems that will collect data from multiple sources and assemble data into reports that can be used by management to understand outcomes of current business practices and as basis for strategic planning purposes. Works directly with staff as well as with the public answering questions and troubleshooting issues. This role has both technical and administrative components.
This is a
full-time, benefited position that will work
Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 5:30pm. This position will work
remote and out of
1325 Pearl St, Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is
exempt.
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.
Hiring Salary Range: $68,976.00 - $84,138.00 Annually

Examples of Duties
- Exhibits excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to accurately gather, analyze and interpret data, identify and define problems, and make recommendations for resolution
- Develops and runs SQL queries for data analysis and data quality control
- Develops and maintains reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS, or other tools
- Works with a team to maintain data and electronic file standards
- Develops data collection instruments; develops and utilizes instruments and methods for the evaluation and quality control of research or operational data
- Collects, analyzes, interprets, and summarizes data in preparation for generation of statistical and analytical reports
- Maintains appropriate records of research methods and results
- Assists in the design of specific databases for collections, tracking and reporting of research data
- May provide a variety of administrative, and/or clerical service to office
- Creates reports and communicates data and findings to partners, both internal and external
- Provides technical assistance to staff
- Provides capacity building training to staff
- Develops data briefs and other materials to assist in the communication of program efforts and outcomes
- Prepares documentation on technical processes
- Answers questions from the public about our processes and data
- Performs related work, as required
- May be reassigned during emergency situations
