Role: Implementation Consultant

Mission
Lead a structured evaluation of a client’s Resource Management function, translate findings into a requirements-driven RFP, and serve as client-side implementation support through vendor selection, configuration, testing, and go-live. The aim is to reduce manual work, increase staffing accuracy, and accelerate time to staff projects with the right skills.
What you will do
Discovery and current-state assessment
- Plan and run stakeholder interviews across resource management, delivery channel leaders, sales/order intake, and affected departments to map how people are staffed onto projects and how work flows between teams
- Document and build workflows for processes, roles, skills, data sources, spreadsheets, and surrounding systems to understand the full ecosystem before tool selection.
- Quantify waste and friction by persona and department, including meeting time, spreadsheet work, handoffs, and rework; document baselines that will inform ROI and change impacts
- Produce high-fidelity process maps and swimlanes for staffing requests, availability, approvals, skills matching, and integrations.
Requirements, RFP, and selection
- Translate process and data findings into a structured requirements set and scoring model.
- Draft the RFP using EvolveUp framework and manage vendor responses, scoring, and finalist diligence; coordinate with Project Manager for milestones and comms
- Recommend the right tool based on functional fit, integration readiness, implementation approach, and total cost.
Client-side implementation support
- Serve as day-to-day client partner while the vendor performs implementation.
- Drive data preparation and migrations from worksheets into system, coordinate UAT, log defects, validate integrations, and support go-live readiness and hypercare with the client’s resource manager and PM
- Provide clear KPI handoff, and documentation for sustainable operations.
What you bring
- 3+ years in one or more of the following: professional services operations, workforce planning, resource management, business systems analysis, or implementation consulting.
- Demonstrated experience conducting stakeholder interviews, mapping processes, and turning findings into requirements and selection criteria.
- Hands-on UAT and client-side implementation assistance with SaaS tools.
- Strong analytical skills for time studies, utilization analysis, and ROI modeling.
- Excellent facilitation and written documentation skills.
- Nice to have: exposure to Professional Services Automation tools or resource management platforms and adjacent systems like HCM, timekeeping, finance, and project management.
Engagement details
- All work is virtual; typical project duration 6 to 8 months from assessment through go-live
- You will partner with an EvolveUp PM and one Implementation support consultant for cadence and deliverables; role scopes from evaluation to selection to client-side implementation support
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
