Software Engineer - Tucson, AZ - On-site Only
- Active Security Clearance.
- Salary Range: 120,000 - 140,000

Summary: Seeking a Mid Level Software Engineer with expertise in C/C++, Linux, and hardware communication for onsite development and maintenance of software applications.
- 5-10 years of experience; relevant degree counts towards experience
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Strong debugging skills
- Experience with Git for version control
- Strong knowledge of Linux and CLI
- Low level hardware communication (cameras, sensors, linear stages)
- Knowledge of FPGA and GPU (CUDA)
- U.S. citizen
- Ability to obtain security clearance
Preferred Skills:
- BSc or higher in Computer Science or Software Engineering; associates degree considered with experience
- Strong math skills
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Julia
- Knowledge of high-speed control systems
- Computer vision, image processing, DSP
- Passion for astronomy and laser communications
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and maintain existing software applications
- Contribute to maturation of new and existing software products through collaborative development
- Discover and fix programming bugs
- Produce required software modules according to schedule requirements
- Write and contribute to reports including design documentation and operational specifications
- Deal directly with customers through briefings, presentations, meetings, and conferences
