Position Title: Data Engineer

Location: Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL

Shift: Day shift

Travel Required: Up to 10% of the time

Description of Duties:

The Data Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

Design, develop, and maintain automated data pipelines.

Streamline our reporting processes by creating automated pipelines that support data scientists and analysts to have standardized and high-quality dashboards ensure stakeholders have access to the right data.

Basic Requirements:

Must have 14, or more, years of general (full-time) work experience

o May be reduced with completion of advanced education

Must have 7, or more, years of directly related experience in data science, data engineering, and digital engineering

Must have 1, or more, years of experience working in a management or leadership role

Must be proficient in python, R, SQL, or other coding languages

Must have experience with databases and data lakes

Must have experience analyzing datasets for quality, structure, and usefulness

Must have knowledge of data connections and API integrations

Must be familiar with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 ecosystem

Must have proficient understanding of data formats (Excel, CSV, JSON, XML)

Must have demonstrated experience creating and managing data pipelines

Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

Have experience with PowerApps and Power Automate

Have experience with BI tools

Have knowledge of Azure services and cloud-based data solutions

Have Project management experience

Have a professional background in business analysis or data science

This position is expected to pay $145,000 - $165,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
