PRIVATE CREDIT FUND – ANALYST
Founded in 2011, Abacus Finance is a leading private credit fund, focused on senior debt financing to private equity-backed operating company investments. Since Abacus’s inception, it has invested nearly $4 billion across 115+ platforms, and is currently managing ~$1.4BN across multiple vehicles. The firm targets private debt financing opportunities of up to $60 million and finances companies with EBITDA between $2 million and $15 million.
The analyst will assist with structuring and executing senior debt financing transactions for lower-middle market sponsor led LBOs, acquisitions financings and recapitalizations.
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop initial screening materials, draft term sheet proposals, perform extensive underwriting due diligence, prepare and seek formal loan approval and assist in closing of transactions
• Prepare comprehensive loan package including write-up of issuer and transaction financial analysis, industry and market trend analysis, financial modeling, and presentation of the potential investment to the investment committee
• Manage assigned portfolio investments to monitor account performance monitor/report on assigned portfolio and ensure compliance with covenants and other loan documents
• Create presentations for both internal and external use as well as other special strategy related projects that may arise
• Assist in external fundraising efforts, third party investor reporting, and ad-hoc requests
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Superior academic record and job performance
• 1-3 years professional experience in banking, private credit and/or private equity
• Formal credit training and experience working in small deal teams (2-3 deal team members) preferred but not required
• Excellent excel and modelling skills
• Strong written and verbal presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and think independently

Compensation: Base pay of $135,000 - $145,000 plus 30-40% annual target bonus, profit sharing, pension plan, health benefits, ability to invest in future funds, and 401K.
