IDR is seeking a Data Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Greenwood Village, CO. This role involves working within a fast-paced telecommunications industry environment, focusing on big data processing, cost optimization, and enhancing data pipeline efficiency. Position Overview for the Data Engineer:

Monitor and maintain ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and completeness

Develop automated monitoring systems for data pipelines

Architect and integrate new datasets into existing structures for improved analytics

Optimize AWS-based data jobs for performance and cost efficiency

Conduct code reviews and establish best practices for the team
Requirements for the Data Engineer:

Experience working with Data Lake environments, not RDBMS

Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark/Scala for data ingestion and transformation

Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3, EMR, Step Functions, and Airflow

Ability to troubleshoot data issues and improve existing processes

Bachelor’s degree in a related field
