Job Summary
The Strategy Data Analyst will support the LANEIGE brand team by delivering data-driven insights across key strategic areas including product performance, consumer behavior, and market trends. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Brand Marketing, E-commerce, and Global HQ to inform decision-making and optimize brand growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Performance Analysis
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Sales Account Leads to consolidate inputs and align with monthly net sales targets, contributing to accurate performance tracking and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to manage SKU lists and regularly share updates with relevant departments to ensure alignment and operational efficiency
- Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis using sales and operational data; communicate findings with relevant departments and HQ.
- Conduct weekly/monthly sales performance analysis(Sell-thru, Sell-in) and share insights with brand teams and stakeholders, including HQ counterparts.
- Generate diversified insights through regular data analysis to support business growth and strategic planning.
- Track and report monthly P&L metrics, identifying issues and escalating them to management with actionable recommendations.
Market Intelligence
- Conduct periodic and ad-hoc market research to identify key trends in the US market and propose strategic actions for brands (LANEIGE, INNISFREE, HANYUL)
- Collaborate with the CMI team and Amazon Team to manage and analyze market data from third-party sources (e.g., Circana, Profitero)
- Support brand and corporate teams with consumer and competitive intelligence to enhance market positioning
- Work closely with the Brands(LANEIGE, INNISFREE, HANYUL) Marketing team to provide necessary analytical data and support data-driven decision-making(e.g., category, retailer)
Global Corporate Strategy Development
- Support new business development initiatives across North and Latin America (e.g., new markets, new channels) by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review and summarize key HQ documents written in Korean, and share relevant insights with team members and leadership
- Ensure alignment between HQ’s global strategic direction and APUS’s local strategies through effective communication and data-driven insights.
- Assist in the development of short- and long-term business plans by providing relevant data analysis and scenario modeling.
- Provide analytical support for regular HQ meetings (weekly/monthly) and key strategic discussions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business strategy, or a related role (experience in beauty industry is a plus).
- Proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI) are a strong plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English & Korean
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
