About the Job
Loopback Analytics is hiring an innovative and team-oriented RWD Data Analyst who will work closely with Loopback Real World Data and Data Operations teams. This position will be a critical member of the data operations and support team and will be involved in innovating with leading-edge data lake and big data technologies.
Job Duties
Sales Engineering & GTM Support
- Act as the technical expert for real-world data (RWD) and life sciences data products during sales cycles, client presentations, and discovery calls.
- Translate customer cohort definitions and research questions into clear data requirements and feasibility analyses.
- Communicate complex data capabilities, data quality, and limitations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Develop and present proofs of concept (POCs) using internal data warehouse resources to demonstrate Loopback’s ability to support specific research or business questions.
- Partner closely with Sales and GTM teams to refine messaging and solution positioning based on data capabilities.
Data Analysis & Solution Delivery
- Analyze Loopback’s large-scale healthcare data warehouse (claims, EHR, pharmacy, etc.) to create cohort extracts and deliverables for customers and partners.
- Support data delivery, custom analytics, and ad-hoc data pulls as required by the customer lifecycle.
- Conduct exploratory analyses to assess the feasibility of new use cases or data sources.
- Synthesize and communicate analytical findings in client-ready formats (slide decks, visualizations, technical summaries).
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with GTM and Operations teams to improve data quality, documentation, and product features.
- Gather and document customer feedback to inform future data product development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of privacy, security, and regulatory considerations for healthcare data, supporting compliance in all client-facing work.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or life sciences field (e.g., Statistics, Bioinformatics, Epidemiology, Computer Science, Pharmacy, Public Health, or related).
- 2+ years’ experience working with large healthcare datasets (claims, EHR, or pharmacy data) in an analytics or data science capacity or working in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated client-facing experience (Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Customer Analytics, or similar) supporting the sales or delivery of data products/services.
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting/statistical language (Python, R).
- Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or AWS).
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to break down ambiguous client questions into actionable analyses.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
Preferred
- Experience supporting sales, pre-sales, or customer delivery in a SaaS or data product organization.
- Familiarity with HIPAA, de-identification, and regulatory frameworks for health data.
- Experience building and presenting data visualizations in Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field a plus.
