We are looking for a Credit Data Scientist to join our front-office team and help drive data-informed trading decisions.
Role Overview
As a Credit Data Scientist, you will work closely with the analysts, portfolio manager, and trading team to develop models and tools that enhance credit risk assessment, trade idea generation, and portfolio optimization. You'll be embedded in the trading team, with direct impact on P&L and strategy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain predictive models for credit spreads, default probabilities, using structured and unstructured data.
- Analyze corporate fundamentals, market signals, and macroeconomic indicators to support trading strategies.
- Develop real-time analytics and dashboards to monitor credit exposures and market movements.
- Collaborate with quants and engineers to integrate models into trading systems.
- Conduct post-trade analysis to evaluate model performance and refine strategies.
Qualifications
- Degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, or Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in credit analytics, preferably in a trading or investment environment.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
- Deep understanding of credit markets, instruments and risk metrics.
- Experience working with large datasets, alternative data, and real-time data feeds
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience at a hedge fund, investment bank, or asset manager.
