We are in search of a Business Data Analyst to be a part of our team, based North of Dallas, TX. The individual will be a key player in the retail industry, using their analytical abilities to gather requirements from leadership and executives and deliver reports for those individuals using SQL, DAX and Functions within MS Power BI. You will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights and reports within Power BI and fostering a data-driven culture within our team.

Responsibilities

Design visualizations, interactive dashboards, and reports utilizing tools like Power BI to effectively communicate insights
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and convert them into analytical projects
Translate intricate analytical findings into clear, understandable recommendations for upper management
Lead multiple analytics projects concurrently from start to finish, managing timelines and resources effectively
Develop strategies for project plans, timelines, and resource allocation
Ensure the successful delivery of insights that influence business performance
Automate reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, tools, techniques, and emerging technologies in advanced analytics and data science
Experiment with new methodologies to continuously improve analytical capabilities
Challenge the conventional with data and innovative thinking.

What you bring to the table:

Bachelor's Degree with 2 + Years of Full-Time experience as a Business Data Analyst or similar roles.
2 + Years Microsoft Power BI - (Seeking someone who works with Power BI daily.)
2 + Years SQL - (Seeking someone who writes / modifies SQL Queries daily.)
2 + Years DAX - (Seeking someone who uses DAX Functions daily)
An understanding and hands on experience with functions within Power BI and the DAX Language such as “CALCULATE,” “FILTER,” etc.
Strong understanding of database concepts.
Seeking someone who is highly personable and able to set meetings with leadership and executives to gather requirements and translate those requirements for others to help build highly important reports within Power BI.
