Position Overview
- The Business Analyst supports and contributes to business analytics projects and processes to deliver data-driven insights related to business performance. These insights will be used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives.
- Develops a strong understanding of our business model, objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders. Works directly with business lines and technical teams to understand and define business and operational issues, identify challenges, and establish metrics that represent progress toward resolution.
- Identifies key business questions, determines corresponding data requirements, and conducts exploratory analysis to develop solutions. Provides various business units with analytical insights and actionable information to measure and report progress against corporate strategic objectives.
- Analyzes internal and external data sources, including core systems, business results, industry data, competitor intelligence, and customer information. Makes recommendations to improve data quality and data collection processes. Collaborates with internal teams to diagnose and resolve data quality issues.
- Applies statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools such as dashboards, KPIs, KRIs, reports, and models that inform and support decision-making. Presents data clearly and proposes actionable solutions.
- Creates data visualizations to help business leaders understand their challenges and proposed solutions. Participates in working groups and committee forums to assess data needs and recommend potential solutions for data usage.
- Analyzes data to extract valuable insights aimed at improving marketing techniques and increasing cross-sell opportunities across banking services.
- Develops a data literacy process to ensure dashboards, KPIs, KRIs, and all produced reports are understood, adopted, and valued.
- Develops reporting utilized by the lines of business and senior leadership to support sales initiatives and growth
- Compiles incentive compensation reporting and performs ongoing quality control and variance analysis
- Maintains departmental Standard Operating Procedures
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Years of 3 to 6 years experience in a financial services/banking role as a Business Analyst
- 2-5 years experience Microsoft Excel and PowerBI; specifically using various lookups, data queries, report writing, presenting findings and dashboards
- Ability to concisely articulate complex information in both verbal and written form.
- Ability to partner with and influence stakeholders at different levels across the organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scope/size simultaneously.
- Explore and create discrete solutions that provide valuable outputs.
- Provide ongoing service to the lines of business, including quality control and continuous improvement for initiatives.

The approximate pay range for this position is $81,000 to $130,000 plus an opportunity to earn performance-based incentives. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
