Position Summary
A Data Analyst within the Compliance team at Wintrust, serving as a vital resource for developing efficient analytics, testing, and compliance monitoring. This position provides operational support to the Compliance Data Management liaison, helping to ensure standards are met and the data management program is effectively utilized. The successful candidate will develop and maintain the existing compliance data analytics technology stack. Additionally, they will provide reporting and analytical solutions that measure, enhance, and forecast compliance risk across the enterprise.
What You’ll Do
Assist in the development and maintenance of the analytics technology stack, including comprehensive documentation of current and future processes to support internal audit and external examination teams.
Provide support with implementation optimal methods for modeling, manipulating, and presenting data to assess compliance risk. Implement advanced analytical techniques to generate regulatory and risk insights that inform the bank's enterprise-level risk profile.
Deliver on project-based, and ad-hoc, data analysis and reporting requests.
Liaison with data management and implement the standards within Compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Math, Economics, MIS or other quantitative field
0-3+ years of experience working on reporting, data mining, statistics or analytical projects in a professional setting
Proficiency with SQL, Database Management experience a plus
Expertise with reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau, exposure to ML/AI project work a plus
Expertise with a scripting language such as Python or R
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $59,000-$77,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
