About the Role
We’re hiring a Data Engineer to join our Strategic Analytics team—a collaborative group that empowers departments like Marketing, Finance, and Underwriting with actionable insights and scalable data solutions. This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary, full benefits, and clear growth potential.
The role is hybrid, with 2–3 days per week onsite initially. Once you're fully acclimated, remote flexibility is available, provided you're open to coming into the office when needed.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Partner with business and technology leaders to shape the future of data architecture and analytics strategy.
- Design and implement modern cloud-based data solutions including data lakes, warehouses, and ETL pipelines.
- Build and optimize Azure-based data environments using tools like Azure SQL, Synapse, and Data Factory.
- Lead data discovery sessions with cross-functional teams to define requirements and roadmap strategies.
- Recommend emerging technologies to support digital transformation initiatives.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure data accessibility, quality, and performance.
Must-Have Skills
- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server and Azure technologies.
- Proven ability to work across on-prem and cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of ETL pipelines, dimensional modeling, and data governance.
- Experience with reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Databricks is a major plus.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or Scala.
- Exposure to machine learning, AI, or big data concepts.
- Cloud certifications (Azure preferred).
