This role is pivotal in driving data-informed decision-making across inventory management, logistics, sales, and customer behavior. The ideal candidate will transform raw operational and retail data into actionable insights that improve efficiency, optimize stock levels, enhance customer experiences, and support strategic business growth.

Salary: $55,000 Per Year

Location: Liberty, MO

Key Responsibilities:

As a Data Analyst, your day-to-day duties may include and are not limited to the following:

Data Management & Reporting

Collect, clean, and validate data from warehouse management systems (WMS), retail POS systems, ERP, and other internal databases.
Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as sales performance, stock movement, shrinkage, and warehouse efficiency.
Ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting across departments.

Analytics & Insights

Analyze trends in inventory, customer purchasing behavior, and sales performance to identify opportunities and risks.
Monitor and forecast demand to support supply chain and merchandising decisions.
Evaluate warehouse productivity metrics (order accuracy, pick/pack efficiency, turnaround time) and suggest improvements.

Business Support

Provide insights that help optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies.
Partner with warehouse managers, retail operations, and finance teams to provide data-backed recommendations.
Support decision-making with ad hoc analysis for executive leadership.

Process Improvement

Identify inefficiencies in warehouse and retail operations and propose data-driven solutions.
Work closely with IT and operations teams to enhance data systems and automation.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Solid understanding of retail KPIs, supply chain, and warehouse operations.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills – ability to present insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modeling (Python, R preferred).
Familiarity with retail e-commerce data and omnichannel operations.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in a data analyst role (retail or warehouse environment preferred).
Experience working with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Manhattan).
Experience with automation and data pipelines (ETL tools, APIs).
