Position Title: Senior AI Developer

Compensation: $100.00 - $120.00 / Hourly

Project Scope:
The team is developing an AI-powered Recruiting Intelligence Platform designed to transform how the recruiting team reviews, sorts, and identifies top talent. The system will leverage Generative AI and advanced data processing to analyze and categorize large volumes of resumes, enabling recruiters to efficiently surface candidates with the right skills, experience, and cultural fit.
Built on Azure and leveraging modern AI tools such as OpenAI, Cognitive Search, and custom LLM integrations, the platform will provide intuitive search and filtering capabilities through a secure, user-friendly interface. Recruiters will be able to query the system using natural language and receive AI-driven insights that streamline candidate evaluation and selection.
This product is mission-critical to optimizing Energy Transfer’s talent acquisition processes, improving recruiter productivity, and ensuring hiring teams can make data-informed decisions quickly and accurately. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex AI functionality into real recruiting value are essential.
We’re seeking a hands-on Senior AI Engineer with deep experience in full-stack development, and scalable AI solutions. This role will support the design and deployment of next-generation AI tools, integrating LLMs, search intelligence, and microservices architecture to drive enterprise-wide innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy applications that integrate AI/ML with enterprise systems.
- Build microservices and full-stack solutions using C# (Blazor) and Python, with SQL backends.
- Implement secure authentication/authorization flows (SSO, Azure Active Directory, etc.).
- Develop and integrate chatbots, copilots, and AI search tools powered by GPT models and semantic search.
- Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate AI capabilities into real business value.
- Contribute to retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multimodal OCR/ICR, and other advanced AI patterns.
Must-Have Skills
- Strong background in software engineering with proficiency in Python and C#
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure preferred, but AWS/GCP acceptable if exposure to Azure).
- Solid database design and backend experience with SQL Server.
- Knowledge of AI concepts, including LLMs, semantic search, and chatbot/agent development.
- Ability to work full stack, from backend services to Blazor frontend.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Nice to Have
- Experience integrating AI in enterprise production environments.
- Leverage Azure (Functions, Service Bus, Cognitive Search, OpenAI) and other cloud services to support scalable AI solutions.
- Familiarity with Azure APIM, AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, semantic kernels, and agent frameworks.
- Background with enterprise-scale document management and ingestion platforms.
- AI certifications, side projects, or demonstrated continuous learning in AI/ML.
