We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our Commercial Operations team. The individual will play a key role in supporting business decision-making by providing financial analysis, insights, and reporting related to sales, pricing, margin, and overall commercial performance. This position partners closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams by transforming raw data into clear insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. The role requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, and the ability to communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collect, and analyze data from multiple sources (SAP, Salesforce, financial systems, etc.).
- Build dashboards, reports, and models to track KPIs and support business decisions.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and insights that inform strategy and improve efficiency.
- Partner with finance and leadership to develop forecasts, budgets, and scenario analysis.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate sales performance, pricing strategies, product profitability, and customer margins.
- Partner with commercial and sales teams to provide financial insights that support pricing decisions, contract negotiations, and business cases.
- Monitor sales pipeline, forecasts, and actual results, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for commercial functions.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to assess market trends, customer performance, and growth opportunities.
- Present findings in a clear, compelling way for both technical and non-technical audience.
- Ensure financial compliance, accuracy, and adherence to company policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, sales, supply chain, and operations teams to align financial goals with business strategy.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CMA is a plus).
- 3+ years of experience in data and financial analysis, preferably in a commercial or sales-focused environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis), SQL Server, Python or R for data analysis and familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) for enhanced analysis. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior management.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
